Compensation: A season-long stipend of $2,500.00-$3,500.00 +*

We are looking for Strength & Conditioning Coaches to join our team! We have openings for both morning and afternoon sessions, with classes typically running from 7:00–8:00 a.m. and anywhere from 3:30 to 5:15 pm., up to five days per week. Please share your availability, including which days you are available and whether you prefer morning sessions, afternoon sessions, or both.

Summary Description

BB&N is seeking two Upper School Strength & Conditioning Coaches for morning and afternoon/evening sessions, with openings available for both time slots. The Strength & Conditioning Coach will report to the Director of Athletics and work closely with the Associate Director of Athletics. The BB&N Athletic Department expects its coaches to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and adhere to the BB&N coaches’ manual as well as the Independent School League (ISL) and New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Key functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Designing and implementing a strength training and conditioning program for upper school students who sign up for the season in conjunction with another strength and conditioning coach.
• Tracking athlete attendance and athlete progression in conjunction with another strength and conditioning coach.
• Upholding policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Professional Standards Guidelines.
• Communicating with students relevant information regarding the schedule and program.
• Supervising the behavior of students in the strength and conditioning rooms.
• Seeking assistance should emergencies arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements, Skills, and Competencies

The ideal candidate is approachable, knowledgeable, collaborative, energetic, organized, flexible, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is preferred, but not required.

The position runs from November 30, 2026 through February 2027.
