Job summary

St. Andrew’s School in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Upper Elementary teacher to maintain a homeroom of 16 Kindergarten students and teach core subjects in a private, extended-year program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.
• Experience working with elementary grade children.
• Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach grade-level (Upper Elementary) subjects in English language arts, math, science, and social studies.
• Design and deliver rigorous, relevant lessons based on assessment data.
• Develop resources aligned with curriculum and student needs.
• Support students’ social-emotional development and use the Responsive Classroom framework.
• Communicate with families and colleagues about student growth.
• Support school events before, during, and after the school day.
• Collaborate with SAS colleagues.
