Job summary

TrimmerHot in Lenoir, NC is seeking an upholstery technician with 2+ years of hands-on experience to join a full-time team. You will handle frames, padding, and fabric installations, maintaining a clean workstation and following safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to read work instructions while meeting deadlines in a team environment. Prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 pounds are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands on upholstery experience.
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook to Intermediate level.
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business.
• Demonstrate use of upholstery tools.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver furniture frames on work platform.
• Tacks cardboard, padding and upholstery material to top, side, and bottom rails of outside arms, fitting and shaping materials to obtain specified contour using staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulator.
• Responsible for fixing their own repairs.
• Maintains neat and orderly workstation.
• Follow all workplace safety standards.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
