Job summary

Life Fitness/Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN is seeking an Upholstery Assembler for the 1st shift. You will assemble upholstered, mechanical, and electromechanical components for premium fitness equipment, on a four‑day schedule (Mon‑Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM).

Responsibilities include using hand and air tools, reading work instructions in English, and ensuring quality while maintaining a safe workspace. Overtime and a competitive benefits package are available to full‑time employees.

• Mechanical aptitude and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production instructions in English.
• Experience with basic manufacturing or upholstery environments is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Use the proper equipment to produce high-quality upholstery, including side sewing
• Assemble components using hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment to meet specifications
• Analyze rejected product and partner with the Lead Assembler on solutions
• Maintain a safe, clean work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work
• Commitment to working safely
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with machine sewing
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Experience with hand tools

Your base wage will be between $19.00 - $22.13 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
