Job summary

Up Closets of Rhode Island is seeking a results-driven sales professional for in-home consultations to design custom closets.

You will guide homeowners through the design process, provide estimates, and work with the installation team to ensure quality results. This is a commission-based contractor role with substantial earning potential and paid design training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sales, interior design, or related fields preferred.
• Self-motivated and comfortable with commission-based income.

This is a client-facing sales role that involves in-home consultations, where you'll guide homeowners through the design process and help bring their dream spaces to life. This is a commission-based position with earnings tied directly to your sales performance.

• High availability / Flexible schedule (average 4-6 appointments per week)

Compensation:

• 10% commission on gross sales (12% for self-generated clients)
• Stipends for sales consultations
• Commission-based 1099 contractor position
• $55,000.00 - $82,500 per year average (commission-based)

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years in sales, interior design, or related fields preferred
• Self-motivated and comfortable with commission-based income
• Strong communicator with client-first mindset
• Organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
• Comfortable meeting clients in their homes
• Has reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and state ID

Responsibilities:

• Design custom closets and spaces using our software
• Provide estimates and proposals for custom closet systems
• Collaborate with the installation team to ensure accurate and efficient installation
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication throughout the design and installation process
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Follow company policies and procedures related to design and customer service

Technology Skills:

• Google Suite ( Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
• Sales/scheduling software
• Design software experience preferred
• Canva and Meta business Suite (a plus)
