Job summary

University, Summer 2027 - Accounting Intern The Opportunity:

The Corporate Controller and Government Compliance teams play critical roles in supporting Booz Allen Hamilton's accounting, financial reporting, risk management, and compliance functions.

As an Accounting, Accounting Policy & Government Compliance Intern, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of corporate finance and accounting activities, including technical accounting, financial reporting, accounting policy, internal audit, government compliance, business process reviews, and risk management.

You'll support the evaluation of complex and technical accounting matters, research accounting standards, assist with the development of accounting policies, and contribute to financial reporting and compliance activities. You may also support audits and advisory engagements designed to identify and address operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks across the organization.

On our team, you'll have the opportunity to analyze business processes, perform data analytics, document processes and controls, research and interpret accounting guidance, and develop recommendations that support more efficient and effective business operations. This experience will allow you to strengthen your technical accounting, analytical, research, problem-solving, and communication skills while gaining a firsthand understanding of corporate accounting, internal audit, and government compliance.

You Have:

• Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word


• Experience managing competing priorities and multiple tasks


• Experience documenting or analyzing business processes


• Knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting standards


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment


• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or Information Systems field by Winter 2027 or Summer 2028

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $43,700.00 to $90,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
