University Schools welcomes applications for an IT Support Technologist.




























1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
OR
2. Associate's degree and two years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
OR
3. High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to four years.




At least two years of experience supporting desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, networks, and software applications with an emphasis on troubleshooting and system maintenance; working knowledge of MacOS, Windows, and iOS operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.












Bachelor's degree in computer technology, information systems, computer science, or related area.

Position Function
University Schools IT Support Technologist plays a vital role in providing technology support for University Schools and reports to Ball State Information Technology. This position is responsible for
desktop, laptop, iPad, internet filter, MDM, system support, overseeing the computer replacement plan, and ensuring the proper maintenance of University Schools technology equipment, including tech support to all printers, projectors, computers, and other technology in the Indiana Academy residential spaces, as needed and per Ball State University Information Technology best practices.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects; self starter; detail oriented; excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with various groups of individuals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Authorization to work in the USCandidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Preferred Experience

  • Experience in K-12 environment supporting iOS devices via MDM.

  • Additional years of technology support experience.

  • Experience with adhering to information security best practices.

  • Experience in providing excellent customer service across K-12 clients, including students, teachers, and administration.

Preferred Other

  • Ability to strategically plan for annual iOS refresh and rollout to K-12 students.

  • Familiarity with 3D printers, laser cutters, and other maker-space tools.

Technology Integration and Student Support: Collaborate with teachers to support K-12 students in effectively using iPads and other educational technology. Provide hands-on assistance to students to enhance their understanding of digital tools, ensuring technology is used effectively for learning and creativity.
