Job summary

Western Digital seeks a Contract University Recruiter focused on hiring graduates and interns across multiple functions. You will partner with hiring managers and university partners to build pipelines, conduct interviews, and extend offers.

You will develop strong university relationships, promote the Western Digital brand, and drive a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment cycle, including travel during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in university/campus recruiting.
• Creative, self-motivated, self-learner with superior teamwork skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to resolve issues and interact with interdepartmental teams.
• Demonstrated project driving skills with milestone/timeline management.
• Ability to execute with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and past ATS experience.

Responsibilities

The Western Digital Early Career Recruiting team is hiring a Contract University Recruiter that is focused on hires pursuing Bachelors, Masters and PhD. Opportunity is also open to hybrid (M,W,H In Office / T, F Remote)

As a Contract University Recruiter, you will partner with both hiring managers and our core university partners to support university recruitment experience.

Recruitment

You will be a key partner to help identify and hire university talent for Western Digital. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Full life-cycle recruitment for new college graduates and interns across multiple functions, including: building the talent pipeline, interviews, and offers
• Developing strong university partnerships to proactively build a pipeline of new college grads and interns for existing and future needs of the organization
• Promoting our Western Digital brand throughout the recruitment cycle
• Communicate fearlessly to build trust; you will bring a strong perspective that inspires and motivates hiring partners and candidates
• Collaborate amongst teammates and cross functional teams to meet deadlines and achieve goals
• Ability to travel domestically, during peak recruiting cycles
• Support recruitment programs which help define and provide a comprehensive university experience
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to define an all-encompassing candidate experience
• Developing presentations and reports

• Minimum of 2years of demonstrated relevant experience -- previous experience in university/campus recruiting preferred
• Creative, self-motivated, self-learner with superior teamwork skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work on the resolution of any issue and to interact with various interdepartmental engineering and support organizations
• Demonstrated project driving skills, capable of managing projects with set milestones and timeline
• Ability to execute with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and past ATS experience required
