Job summary

Spring Arbor University seeks a University Librarian to supervise all library services, provide reference support, and oversee cataloging of physical and online collections to support curricula for faculty and students on campus and online. The role emphasizes leadership in digital services and AI-enabled resources within a supportive learning environment.

The librarian will collaborate with eLearning to integrate library resources with teaching, systems, and platforms, while managing budgets

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Three years of experience in an academic library and/or management experience is preferred.
• Experience with library services and/or teaching in online environments is helpful.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Brightspace or other online learning management systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with faculty to align library services with curricular needs and provide information resources for student success.
• Leads development, enhancement, and maintenance of digital library systems for campus and online use.
• Designs and maintains the University Library webpages for access to digital content and services, including LibGuides.
• Provides research and reference support to faculty and students.
• Provides technology support for library digital resources and analyzes access issues.
