Job summary

Pinterest is seeking inquisitive university graduates to join our engineering teams in the US. Working closely with mentors and cross-functional partners, you’ll learn how large-scale systems operate and contribute to building new technologies, features, and tools that power Pinterest for millions.

You’ll deliver practical code, collaborate across backend, full stack, mobile, web, and security domains, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or expected by 2027.
• Available to start full-time between January 2027 and September 2027.
• At least one year of programming experience through internships, coursework, or projects.
• Familiar with using AI as a learning, productivity, and engineering tool.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, software design.
• Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++, and related frameworks.
• Previous software engineering internship experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and product sense.
• Passion for Pinterest and willingness to learn.

• Leverage AI tools in your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery-brainstorming approaches, writing and refining code, and producing clear documentation
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to build products, systems, and tools that support Pinterest
• Proactively communicate ideas and perspectives with candor, and continue growing professionally through feedback, learning, and development opportunities
• Contribute to engineering work across backend, full stack, mobile, web, and security domains, depending on team

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, expected by June 2027
• Must be available to start full-time between January 2027 and September 2027
• At least one year of programming experience through internships, research, coursework, teaching, personal projects, open source, or hackathons
• Familiarity using AI as a learning, productivity, and engineering tool, and as an iterative coding partner, to accelerate engineering work while exercising strong judgment around accuracy, security, and when to ask for help
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++, and familiarity with relevant frameworks, tools, or technologies such as React or similar. Technical requirements vary by team.
• Previous software engineering internship experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and product sense
• Passion for Pinterest, comfort with ambiguity, and a growth mindset with a willingness to continuously learn

In-Office Requirement Statement:

• We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we’re not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
• For this role, some employees will work in a hybrid model (commutable distance to one of our offices, with in-person collaboration approximately 1-2 times per week), and some will work fully remote within approved locations. $129,022 — $174,283 USD

In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for equity.

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
