Job summary

The Lansing School District is seeking an Universal Preschool Associate Teacher to support safety and student engagement in the Universal Preschool program. You will work across school sites to assist teachers and interact with families.

Responsibilities include prioritizing tasks, ensuring student safety, incorporating feedback, and building relationships with students and parents to create a welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• Existing 120 Training-Hour approval by MDE.
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for working with Universal Preschool and GSRP students.
• Effectively prioritize tasks as assigned by teachers and school leaders.
• Ensure safety of students in classroom and comply with Universal Preschool and GSRP requirements.
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission.
