Overview

Unit Support Associate - Emergency unit at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. Positions available are Full-Time and will work 10-hour Evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• The Unit Support Associate (USA) role performs support functions on the patient care unit including admitting (quick admitting), record keeping, chart audit/management, order entry, log maintenance, and monitoring.
• Also performs as customer relations/"concierge", clerical systems facilitator and problem solver. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age specific needs.
• This position also contributes to the team by processing necessary paperwork mandated by law/statute.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training - Vocational training course such as medical assistant, unit secretary, medical records, billing, etc or recent related experience in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computer entry and word processing.
• Recent experience in a healthcare setting including, but not limited to, either unit secretary, admitting, billing or a medical records clerical position.
• Recent, hospital-direct experience in an acute, sub-acute unit or skilled nursing facility.
