Catawba Valley Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Nurse Aide to perform patient care within the ED, and to support administrative and communication functions, while adhering to hospital policies and life-span development principles.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma, basic computer skills, BCLS (AHA preferred or obtained within 3 months), Nurse Aide I/II registration, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within six months of hire. Phlebotomy welcome if certified.
Summary of Performance Expectations
Performs a variety of organizational, administrative, communication functions and also provides care within scope of practice and hospital policies and procedures, appropriate to the age of the patients served within the Emergency Department, incorporating knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life-span.

No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of job within three months of employment date.
