Francis is nationally recognized for Cardiology & Heart Surgery and other specialties. The Unit Secretary supports the RN and department with clerical and receptionist duties in a fast-paced hospital environment. Requirements include a HS Diploma, knowledge of medical terminology, and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations is required.
• Previous hospital and computer experience is preferred.
• Ability to enter and retrieve data from the computer and to navigate the institution.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical, communication and receptionist activities within the department under the direction and supervision of the RN in charge.
• Receives and directs calls, and handles data entry tasks as part of daily patient flow.
• Maintains accurate records and supports department operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Salary Range

USD $24.86 - USD $24.86 /Hr.
