Parkridge East Hospital is seeking a Unit Secretary to support patient care teams and ensure a welcoming, organized unit. The role emphasizes clear communication, accurate record handling, and coordination of physician orders to keep the care team connected.

You will greet patients, assist visitors, and help maintain a safe, efficient environment on a per-shift basis, contributing to a compassionate, family-like atmosphere for all patients and families.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Maintaining patient records accurately, entering physician orders, and protecting patient information
• Handling all communications between incoming calls and care team members promptly and clearly to keep the unit connected

• Taking initiative to solve challenges, support daily operations, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
