Randolph Health seeks a unit secretary to assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing station activities. The role includes clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the unit’s environment.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a Data Processing class for unit secretaries. CNA preferred but not required, and no prior experience is mandatory though hospital exposure is a plus.
Assists in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the unit. Must interface with unit staff, other department staff, physicians, patients, visitors, and patients families.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Will be required to successfully complete class in Data Processing for unit secretaries. Eight to twelve weeks required to demonstrate skills.Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, but not required.
Required ability to receive and followinstructionsand/or directions. Can work independently under the direction of the registered nurse. Concentration may be frequently broken.Must be flexible and ableto prioritize.Needs to be able to work at a steady, often hectic,pace sometimes for the entire shift. Reasonable accommodations may be made toallow individuals with disabilities to performtheessential functions of the position.
No experience required, but prefer prior hospital experience.
