Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Unit Educator - RN for the Med Surg Unit in Warren. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

The educator will plan, implement and evaluate educational and quality improvement activities on the unit, mentoring the team and serving as a role model for best nursing practice. BSN and Michigan RN licensure are required, with about four years of clinical experience preferred.

Candidate Preferences: Inpatient charge nurse experience, resourceful and dedicated to mentoring the team; passionate about education and evident base practices.

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and collaboration with t he Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing Development Educators, plans, implements and evaluates educational and quality improvement activities on the nursing unit. Role-models excellence in patient care through clinical practice, continuous quality improvement and integration of new nursing knowledge into practice. Adheres to all standards of nursing care and standards within the job description. solving and organizational skills, flexibility, self-directiveness and initiative required. Health care provider certification (BCLS) required.

Education And Experience

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Current Michigan RN licensure required.

Equivalent of 4 years clinical experience with defined patient population preferred.
