The Unit Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County leads day-to-day operations, public relations, and crisis management for all units and sites in the community. They serve as the Club face locally, ensuring implementation of Positive Youth Development and overseeing policy compliance, programming, safety, and culture.
The role engages regularly with parents, staff, and the admin team, upholding the Club’s mission and core values of excellence, impact, teamwork, and integrity.

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer
CLASSIFIED: Full Time, Exempt
LOCATION: Moody County, SD
MISSION: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
JOB SUMMARY: The Unit Director leads day-to-day operations, public relations, and crisis management for all Units, Extensions, and Community Impact Sites in their assigned community. They serve as the face of the Club locally, ensure implementation of the 5 Key Elements of Positive Youth Development, and oversee Club policy compliance, programming, safety, and culture. The Unit Director engages regularly with parents, staff, and the administrative team. All Boys & Girls Club employees are expected to uphold the mission of the Club.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Leadership & Facility Management
Oversee daily Club operations at the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County, ensuring a safe, well-run environment for members and staff.
Manage staffing coverage and safe operations during no-school days, inclement weather, and unplanned closures.
Step in on unexpected or urgent operational needs as they arise.
