Summerlin Hospital is seeking a dedicated CNA to assist in the nursing unit, handling clerical tasks and direct patient care under state guidelines. The role supports a busy maternity and general patient care environment within a large health system.

Qualified candidates hold a Nevada CNA license and a current BLS certification. This full-time position requires good communication and PC skills, with opportunities for professional education and advancement within the VHS/UHS network.

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health, and oncology care. Job Description

Position is responsible for assisting the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical and receptionist duties, and performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education: High school or equivalent preferred. Completion of education/experience necessary to obtain CNA certification from Nevada Board of Nursing.

Experience:

Technical Skills: Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.

License/Certification: Current CNA license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification required.

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
