Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Union Welder for a Monday–Friday shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm at our Minnesota location. The role involves welding outlets onto steel pipe for the fire sprinkler industry, performing specialty welding tasks, and ensuring quality and safety at the workstation.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of welding experience, strong attention to detail, and solid interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years welding experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required.
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.

Responsibilities

• Weld outlets onto steel pipe to serve the fire sprinkler industry.
• Perform specialty welding tasks; spool pieces, flanges, etc.
• Inspects work for defects, dimensions, alignment, end preparations, and seam splits in pipe.
• Maintain a clean and safe welding station while conforming to Ferguson’s standards of quality and performance.
• Reports all equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and required repairs.

Schedule: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm

The pay rate for this role is $32.69 hourly
