Job description

As a Union - Truck Driver CDL, you will deliver material to customers utilizing company-owned or leased trucks. You will also be responsible for preventive maintenance.

Shift: Monday through Friday; 7:30AM - 4:00PM

A Day in The Life of a Truck Driver

As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Requires applicable truck driver license for the state.

• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instructions for delivery or pickup
• Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping papers
• Maintain records in accordance with regulations
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, etc.
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded

• High school degree or equivalent preferred

• Ability to detect or tell differences between sounds varying in pitch and loudness
• Ability to quickly respond (with hand, finger, foot) to signals (sound, light, picture) when it appears
