Job summary

Bedford NH town is seeking a full-time, union truck driver to join our highway operations. The role offers starting pay of $20.88 to $24.17 per hour with a maximum of $30.85 per hour and excellent benefits including 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums and NHRS retirement.

You will operate heavy and light trucks, shovel and lift up to 100 pounds, and support snow removal, road maintenance, and equipment upkeep under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of truck driving experience.
• Valid NH CDL Class B license (Class A preferred) and medical card.
• Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment and varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks to transport sand, gravel, stone and supplies.
• Operate light trucks to carry tools and equipment to job sites.
• Perform road sanding and plowing in winter months.
• Operate tractor and mower to maintain large grassy areas.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials and equipment; perform related duties.
