GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Toolmaker/Machinist in New York. The role involves operating toolroom machines, setting up tools, and assembling precision instruments and fixtures in a fast-paced environment.
Qualified candidates have NYS Toolmakers credentials or 10+ years of CNC experience, with a high school diploma or GED. Expect a 9/80 schedule, potential overtime, and comprehensive benefits.
Position Hours: This role follows a 9/80 schedule; Monday - Thursday hours are 7-4pm, every other Friday is an 8 hour shift, and off the next Friday. Overtime is uncapped.
Toolroom machine tools such as: lathes, boring mills, grinders, drill presses, shapers, slotters, milling machines, jig borers, saws, filing machine, surface plate, ordinary band tools, power hand tools, arbor press, layout tools, floor-operated crane, ordinary and precision measuring tools, sine bar, air gage, buttons, comparator, optical gages etc.; gas torch, lapping stones, etc. Including NC and CNC Programmable Machines using Conversational Programming and/or MasterCam CAD/CAM Solutions
Cast, formed, rolled, forged, fabricated parts of ferrous and non-ferrous metal, carbon, tool, alloy steels, carbides, copper, brass, aluminum, non-metallic materials such as: Textolite, Garolite, plastics, lubricants, gases, pre-machined components and subassemblies, finished parts including vendor items, etc.
Make, fit, and assemble complex electrical and mechanical precision instruments, equipment, Jigs, fixtures, etc., performing all machining and assembly operations.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
The hourly pay range for this position $45.07 - 52.52 USD (US) per hour. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This posting is expected to close on December 31st 2026.
