Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a skilled Painter for our Philadelphia, PA location to paint interior and exterior surfaces, repaint walls and ceilings, and touch up areas.

The role involves preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and coordinating with supervisors on timelines in a 24/7 correctional environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or trade school, own basic tools, read drawings, and pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and the strength and dexterity required to perform heavy lifting tasks.
• High School Diploma, GED or Trade School.
• Must provide own basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Capable of reading drawings and layouts.
• Must be able to read and speak English clearly.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Able to climb ladders and walk long distances.
• Able to pass Background Investigation without Criminal history.
• Must be able to pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Testing.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to work in all climate conditions.
• Will be working in a Correctional environment, which is a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Repaint damage or deteriorated surfaces.
• Paint new work installed by others.
• Touch up painted areas.
• Clean and prep painted areas.
• Works with other staff as assigned or independently.
• Reports to supervisory personnel for material list and timelines for the completion of a project.
• Make light carpentry/masonry repairs in preparation for area to be painted.
• Install ceiling tiles, floor tiles, walls/base trim in areas as assigned.
