Job summary

Miller Bros. Const., Inc. is seeking an experienced Union Operator Foreman with landfill construction expertise to lead field crews on landfill and heavy civil projects.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on foreman capable of operating heavy equipment while directing union crews, coordinating daily production, and ensuring safe and efficient project execution. This role requires extensive travel to project sites and experience with mass excavation, liner systems, leachate systems, and HDPE

Qualifications

• Union heavy equipment operator experience required.
• Experience in landfill construction or heavy civil work.
• Experience with mass excavation, landfill cells, liner systems, leachate systems, and HDPE pipe installation.
• Proven ability to lead field crews and operate heavy equipment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites on a regular basis.
• 30-Hour OSHA certification, MSHA certification, and First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct union crews and heavy equipment operations on landfill and heavy civil projects.
• Maintain safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets for daily work.
• Ensure accurate project records and timely reporting using required systems.
• Enforce EEO and training standards and foster a professional work environment.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior operators and laborers.
• Communicate with Superintendent and customers to align on scope and expectations.
