Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Chicago, IL seeks a Mobile Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and production equipment across assigned facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair systems, log work using Corrigo CMMS, and be on-call for after-hours issues.

Requires 4+ years in building engineering and a Universal CFC recovery certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of technical building engineering experience with a strong HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical and production equipment background.
• Universal CFC recovery certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC/R and related equipment across facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders; monitor and document status.
• Update work orders in Corrigo CMMS in real time.
• Be available for call-in work and on-call duties.

Mobile Engineer

What this job involves

Operates, inspects, andmaintainsall HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is beingmaintainedin an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Strong focus on operating,maintaining,troubleshootingand repairingfacility equipment on all HVAC/R systems.Individuals are expectedtodemonstratetechnicalexpertisein HVAC and refrigeration and be multi skilled in electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Material HandlingEquipmentand othersin order tosuccessfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What is your day to day?

Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical,electricaland other installed systems, equipment, and other components. Maintain,operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings. Study and become familiar with thevarious itemsof equipment, and the methodsrequiredto use them properly, that arerequiredin everyday activities. Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts,reporting onas found conditionsimpactingsatisfactory client occupancy and operations. Submit P-card Receipts Daily. Update work order status in real time. Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed. Candidate mustpossessand maintain a valid state driver’s license. Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties asrequired.

Required Qualifications

• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within90 daysof employment)
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting andmaintainingcommercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• ExperienceutilizingCMMS (Work Order) systems
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems,refrigerationand HVAC

Location

Mobile position covering Chicago, IL and surrounding area.

Work Shift

Standard business hours with on-call availability.

Estimated Compensation

Estimated compensation for this position: 82,700.00 – 103,376.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
