Job summary

Roman Electric Co., Inc. – Southern Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Union Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and industrial environments, with multi-family work as well.

You will work independently and with others, ensuring code compliance and safety on site. Qualified candidates have a Wisconsin Journeyman license or 12,000+ hours of experience, and prefer completion of a union training program.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin Journeyman Electrician License or 12,000+ hours of electrical experience.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or union training program (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
• Proficiency with electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently, including wiring, circuits, and system components.
• Ensure all work aligns with local and national electrical codes and stay current on code updates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately.
• Follow safety procedures, including PPE use and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and project managers to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving electrical technologies and best practices.
