CBRE is seeking an on-site ICT Service Delivery Technician to support data center operations, installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT hardware and related infrastructure. The role ensures reliability of servers, storage, switches, cabling, and power/cooling paths, while coordinating with facilities teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring IT and facility systems, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Strong communication and MS Office skills.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.

About The Role

As a CBRE Union ICT Service Delivery Technician, you willprovide essential on-site support for ICT and Engineering services within theData Center environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the operationalintegrity and efficiency of critical client environments.

What You’ll Do

• Perform installation, relocation, configuration,and decommissioning of IT hardware including servers, storage devices,switches, racks, structured cabling, and related infrastructure, ensuring workmeets data center industry standards.
• Conduct routine monitoring, inspection, andtroubleshooting of both IT systems (servers, network gear, connectivity paths)and critical facility systems such as power availability, cooling conditions,and physical environmental metrics to maintain stable operations.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, network,connectivity, and performance issues by performing hands-on troubleshooting,part replacements, visual inspections, and targeted testing across IT,electrical, and mechanical components.
• Assist with mechanical and electrical supporttasks, including checking rack power distribution, verifying cooling airflow,monitoring power/cooling conditions, and reporting anomalies in HVAC,electrical panels, or UPS-backed IT circuits to ensure equipment remains withinsafe operating thresholds.
• Respond to break/fix incidents and servicetickets promptly, escalating when necessary, and execute standard recoveryactivities such as server reboots, hardware swaps, patching/de-patching, andbasic power/cooling troubleshooting.
• Support physical infrastructure tasks, includingcable routing, labeling, termination, and ensuring structured cabling and powerpaths align with best practices for reliability and airflow management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update SOPs,change logs, and asset records, ensuring all IT and facility-related actionsare tracked in accordance with operational and compliance requirements.
• Assist with backup procedures, disaster-recoveryequipment readiness, and physical security measures, ensuring the protection ofcritical systems and controlled access to sensitive areas.

• Collaborate with both IT and facilitiesengineering teams, ensuring integrated operations across compute, network,power, and cooling systems—reflecting the converged nature of modern datacenter technician roles.
• Escort third-party vendors and engineers,ensuring their adherence to site policies and verifying work quality involvingboth IT and mechanical/electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure safe working conditions by followingestablished procedures, hazard awareness practices, and environmental,electrical, and equipment-handling guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement byidentifying inefficiencies, recommending enhancements to IT and facilityworkflows, and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within technicalspaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade schooldiploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieuof a diploma, acombination of experience and education will be considered

• Meet the physical requirements of this roleincluding stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the abilityto lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
• Ability to follow basic work routines andstandards in the application of work
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Collective Bargaining Agreement: The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union ICT Svc Delivery Tech position is $48.10 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
