Job summary

Kowalski is seeking a General Laborer for its food production team in a full-time union role. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with scheduled increases and annual wage opportunities under the union contract.

The position operates in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment and supports meat and spice blending processes. Responsibilities include operating production equipment, loading blends, moving materials, and ensuring HACCP labeling with strict safety and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment.
• Food production or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment including the dumper, grinder, mixer, and mill.
• Prepare pre-blends and final meat/spice blends; load/unload mixers.
• Move meat as needed during production.
• Supply raw materials to grinding and stuffing rooms.
• Clean and Sanitize equipment; maintain HACCP labeling and documentation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures (SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, MIOSHA).
