CHS Inc is seeking a driven individual to join our Hermiston, OR feed mill team as a Union Operations Specialist. You will operate feed manufacturing equipment safely, perform receiving, mixing and pelleting, and maintain production records.

This full‑time role offers competitive pay, a union contract, shift of 1pm to 9pm Monday through Friday, onsite training, and benefits. You will collaborate with management, schedule production, and ensure quality while adhering to safety and FDA

Qualifications

• 1+ year of production and/or operations experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Willing to work extended hours during peak seasons.

CHS, Inc is looking for a driven individual to join our Feed Mill team in Hermiston, OR as a Union Operations Specialist. You will perform diver mill operations such as feed making, recieving, mixing and pelleting our feed products & any additional general operator tasks needed. Compensation Data

• Salary Range: $25.38 - $26.38 per hr
• This is a union role. Full rate of pay after successful completion of probationary period & shift differential. Wages are based on the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Operate the all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to CHS’ quality assurance program regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
• Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during shift.
• Maintain accurate production and FDA records, entering data into Excel spreadsheet.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality.
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products.
• Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds to appropriate holding bins.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed.
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures, adhere to all safety & FDA requirements.
• Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, and customers.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 1+ years in Production and/or Operations

• Experience in mill operations, manufacturing, or similar
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
• High School diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and load up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable in damp, dusty, dry conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to perform physically driven tasks

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
