Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Union Delivery Driver in Missouri. You will safely operate a Graybar truck or van on local routes, delivering orders and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining positive relations with customers.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with home time each night. CDL is not required but you must pass a DOT medical exam and hold a valid driver’s license for the vehicle type.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Must be physically able to perform warehouse duties and pass physical testing.
• Experience operating vehicles equal or below 26,000 GVW.
• Valid driver's license appropriate for vehicle type.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and CMV certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine the best routes to meet delivery expectations.
• Deliver products to Graybar customers with excellent service.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect the vehicle and supplies prior to/during deliveries.
• Safely operate the vehicle at all times and maintain logs.
• Work a local route with no overnights or weekend travel.

Job description

Are you ready? As a Union Delivery Driver, you will have face‑to‑face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on‑time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday‑Friday during the day and you will be home at night. Occasional Warehouse Material Handler responsibilities will be required for this role as well.

In this role you will:

• Help determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service
• Load and unload trucks and use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Inspect vehicle and supplies
• Safely operate vehicle at all times
• Maintain proper truck logs
• Work a local route – no overnights or weekends away

What you bring to the table:

• Customer service skills
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment; must pass pre‑employment physical testing
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPE
• Experience required driving a van or truck equal or below 26,000 GVW
• Must have a valid driver’s license issued by his/her state of residence appropriate for type of vehicle
• Must be able to pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification

Work Shift and Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Compensation Details:

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $23.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information:

Steel toed boots required. CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
