Job summary

IHC Construction Companies, L.L.C. in Illinois is seeking a Union Cement Finisher to support concrete pours on current and upcoming projects. You will work under safety guidelines, maintain quality, and be prepared to work all shifts.

Responsibilities include driving stakes for formwork, grinding and finishing concrete, bending, lifting up to 90 lbs, and working in varying weather. Reliable transportation and attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing cement finishing tasks on concrete pours.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Driving stakes for formwork and finishing concrete.
• Bending, kneeling, and stooping during pours.
• Climbing, hammering, grinding, coating and mixing on floors and walls.
• Lifting forms, lumber, equipment and tools up to 90 lbs.
• Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work all shifts and overtime.
• Satisfactory attendance is required.

Position

Union Cement Finisher — apply via online application. If a position becomes available on current or future projects, qualified applicants will be contacted.

Responsibilities

• driving stakes for formwork, grinding concrete, striking off of concrete
• bending, kneeling, and stooping for duration of the concrete pour, pulling, pushing, manipulating wet cement, walking in wet cement with laden boots
• climbing, hammering, grinding, coating, mixing on concrete floor/deck and vertical wall surfaces
• lifting of forms, lumber, equipment, and tools weighing up to 90 lbs
• Work is performed inside and outside in all weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work all shifts and overtime
• Satisfactory attendance is required
