Job summary

Bridge Core in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking a SME Unified Communications Engineer to support mission-critical video and UC infrastructure. The role requires hands-on design, deployment, and operation of Cisco UC systems in a secure government context.

The engineer will work on enterprise WAN/campus networks, provide engineering support to partners, and stay current with networking hardware, software, and security requirements. TS/SCI with poly is required for this position.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience operating Cisco UC system components including UCM, UBE, VCS, MS/Acano, PCP, UCS, Jabber.
• Experience operating VMware ESXi hypervisor servers.

Responsibilities

• Designs and plans network communications systems.
• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Conducts testing of network designs.
• Monitors network hardware operations and configuration options.
• Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network.
• Advises network users on hardware requirements and configurations.
• Maintains expertise in network/hardware/software interconnection and interfacing.
• Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.
