Job summary

Special Olympics Minnesota (SOMN) is a chapter of the world’s largest organization advocating for inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through sports, health and leadership programs. The Unified Champion Schools Program Coordinator collaborates with SOMN staff to implement strategies, recruit and sustain schools in assigned areas.

The role focuses on coordinating Unified Sports events, social inclusion campaigns and related events, building educational partnerships, and securing

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in event management, account management, community building or similar with proven engagement.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving experience navigating programs and building long-term participation.
• In-depth knowledge of youth programming, inclusive sports, and/or academic environments.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Experience with CRM technology.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate programs, activities and offerings under Unified Champion Schools pillars.
• Identify, cultivate and sustain relationships with students, teachers and schools.
• Collaborate to sustain Unified Champion School programming and assist with grant initiatives.
• Participate in shared department responsibilities and logistics.
