National Interstate is looking for an Underwriting Trainee to join their team. The individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Richfield, Ohio office, with onsite four days a week and one day remote.
Employees are expected to be on-site Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Typically participates in a formal training program for 6 months to a year. Performs work under close supervision and technical direction. Works on assignments of low to moderate technical and logistical complexity. Demonstrates basic analytical, risk assessment, and problem‑solving abilities. Develops and maintains knowledge of company policies and industry laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Develops strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to analyze situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
