Job summary

Society Insurance in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking an Underwriting Technician to join our Underwriting Technical Services team. In this role you will review and rate commercial insurance applications, input data into the Policy Administration System, and organize policy documents to support accurate underwriting.

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer software, data entry, and spreadsheets.
• Strong business math skills, incl. percentages and decimals.
• 1+ year of policy rating or office experience; Guidewire knowledge is a plus.

This position uses expertise to review documents and input data to rate insurance policies, calculate premiums, and generate policy documents according to company and departmental guidelines.

What It Will Take

• High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency with basic computer software, data entry, and spreadsheets.
• Strong business math skills, including calculating percentages, decimals, and invoice adjustments.
• 1+ year of policy rating or office experience; familiarity with Guidewire Policy Center is a plus.
• Knowledge in the Property & Casualty insurance industry and related business processes is preferred.
