The Jonus Group seeks an Underwriting Operations Technician to support a growing underwriting team in Davenport, IA. This role focuses on processing policies, endorsements, and quotes with high accuracy to drive efficient transactions.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to interpret policy language. Experience in commercial P&C insurance and familiarity with ISO/NCCI guidelines are preferred, along with solid MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines/regulations is a plus.
• Experience with insurance rating and policy systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret policy language effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.
• Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.
• Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
• Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.
• Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.
• Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.
• Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.
