Job Summary
The UW Manager is responsible for executing underwriting operations and managing underwriting personnel. Key responsibilities include achieving rate and loss ratio targets, managing file construction and referrals, and overseeing team performance and development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop underwriting standards and processes, manage training and development, resolve system issues, approve payroll functions, steward large accounts and agencies, monitor performance via KPIs, build agent relationships, and identify underwriting improvements.
Qualifications
7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent education, prior management experience, conflict resolution skills, and thorough understanding of company policies.
Preferred Experience
Transportation underwriting experience and a current CPCU license are preferred.
Work Location
Remote work opportunities available. The salary range is $115,000-$125,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and other factors. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k), paid time off, bonuses, equity, and commissions.
