Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.

• Assists underwriters in obtaining information to evaluate new business and renewals, including agent communications.

• This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule from the Dallas, TX area**

Essential Functions

• Summer paid internship working in one of EMC’s branch underwriting departments
• Assists underwriters in obtaining information needed to properly evaluate new business and renewal submissions, including correspondence with agents and other outside sources
• Learns EMC culture, business processes and products
• Gains an understanding of the insurance underwriting process

Education & Experience

• Business major, preferably in insurance, marketing or finance
• Completion of junior year preferred
• Interest in property casualty insurance career
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
