Job summary

Stewart Title Guaranty Company is seeking a professional to ensure accountable decisions are taken with full awareness of legal risk on related matters. The role focuses on evaluating title searches, underwriter requirements, and risk analysis to support buyers, sellers and lenders in real estate transactions.

The candidate will review premiums, terms, and conditions and may lead projects, collaborating with teams across the organization to mitigate risk effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
• Typically requires 2+ years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates title searches and insurance risk factors; justifies underwriting requirements to counsel for buyers, sellers and lenders.
• Evaluates risk and exposures to determine acceptability of business.
• Determines premiums, terms and conditions based on established rules, rates, and guidelines.
• Analyzes data such as financial conditions, participation percentage, industry, employee groups, or past claim experience.
• Leads projects within own discipline and supports colleagues as needed.
• Explains complex information in a straightforward manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Ensures accountable decisions are taken at the right level in the organization, and individuals making decisions are suitably informed about the level of legal risk on all legal related matters.

Job Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates title searches and insurance risk factors and must be able to justify and communicate underwriting requirements to counsel for buyers, sellers and lenders on real estate transactions
• Responsible for evaluating risk and exposures to determine acceptability of business
• Determines premiums, terms and conditions based established rules, rates, and guidelines
• May analyze data such as financial conditions of the organization, participation percentage, type of industry, characteristics of employee groups, or past claim experience
• Performs a range of assignments and may lead projects within own discipline
• Applies working knowledge of business and best practices gained through understanding of key business drivers and recognition of how own area integrates within organization
• Works within broad guidelines and polices to accomplish objectives and goals
• Solves moderately complex to complex problems and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgement and precedents
• Explains complex and/or sensitive information in a straightforward manner
• Acts as a resource for colleagues, provides guidance to less experienced team members
• Individual contributor working with limited oversight
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Pay Range & Benefits

$130,588.32 - $217,647.19 Annually

• The base salary range provided is consistent with similar roles at the Company.
• The base salary range is not an absolute, but a guide, and actual offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, education, experience, location, market conditions, and other compensation components.
• Depending upon all of the preceding considerations, the base salary may be lower or higher than the stated range.
