Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, is expanding our Compliance team with Nationwide consideration for an Underwriting Audit Specialist. This role performs property and casualty policy audits to ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies.

A typical day includes auditing new and renewal policies, assessing risk selection, guidelines adherence, rating accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance, with reporting to Underwriting management

Qualifications

  • 3+ years underwriting experience with a commercial insurance carrier.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of state laws and regulations regarding insurance.
  • Ability to gather and interpret information to develop, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits on new and renewal property and casualty policies for a wide variety of our niche products as well as ad-hoc big data analytics.

  • Compilation and distribution of audit results as well as review with Underwriting management.
  • Data analysis to identify causal factors and to develop action plans for the corresponding business unit.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting management in the implementation of recommendations including development of new or revisions to existing guidelines and/or processes, technological enhancements and training.
  • Develop training programs including preparation of training materials and conducting training.

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is expanding our Compliance team with Nationwide consideration for an Underwriting Audit Specialist.

Summary

National Range: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00

Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

We offer a hybrid work model that provides flexibility to work remotely while maintaining meaningful in-office collaboration with your team.

Remote consideration will be given to qualified candidates located outside of the primary geographic region.
