Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the underwriting team in Las Vegas. You will manage submission intake, documentation, broker communication, and data entry to keep workflow moving efficiently.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of health insurance experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent service to brokers and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters with new business and renewal submissions.
• Review submissions for completeness and request outstanding information as needed.

• Enter and maintain accurate data within underwriting and policy administration systems.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate the collection of applications, claims experience, plan documents, and other required underwriting information.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers and business partners.
• Track submissions, renewals, and outstanding requirements to ensure timely processing.
• Support audits, carrier reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor underwriting inboxes and assist with workflow management.
• Assist with special projects and operational initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
