Job summary

Judi Health seeks a pricing and underwriting analyst to support day-to-day pricing activities and refine financial models. You will work with underwriting, pricing teams and cross-functional partners to deliver accurate, timely analyses and impactful pricing decisions.

Your role involves developing pricing strategies, preparing leadership presentations, and gathering external data to support underwriting decisions, while ensuring high-quality analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Economics (or equivalent work experience).
• 1–3+ years of financial analysis, actuarial services, accounting, pricing & underwriting experience preferred.
• Pharmacy, PBM, or Health Plan experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, or R preferred.
• Strong multi-project management and communication skills.

Location: Hybrid 3 days (offices in NYC, Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC area)

Position Summary

This role supports pricing and underwriting and ensuring timely and accurate RFP responses. The position involves collaborating with various teams to refine financial models and reporting, presenting final underwriting to leadership, and driving continuous improvement in pricing and underwriting practices.

Position Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day pricing and underwriting activities for new and renewal business opportunities under the guidance of senior team members
• Partner with the Underwriting Team and cross-functional groups to help maintain and enhance underwriting processes, financial models, and reporting procedures
• Assist senior underwriters with the development and execution of pricing strategies
• Contribute to underwriting presentations by preparing materials and supporting documentation, including identifying potential risks for review
• Gather, review, and organize external data to support underwriting analysis and decision-making
• Assist in the analysis and development of pricing models for new and existing products
• Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Support ongoing maintenance and enhancements of underwriting and financial reporting systems
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help fulfill financial analytics and reporting needs
• Provide general analytical and operational support to meet broader business needs
• Adhere to the Judi Health Code of Conduct, including reporting any identified noncompliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, with record of strong academic performance in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Economics (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant work experience may be considered)
• 1-3+ years of proven experience in financial analysis, actuarial services, accounting, pricing & underwriting preferred
• Pharmacy, PBM, or Health Plan experience preferred
• Knowledge of risk management, statistics, financial modeling
• Experience manipulating large data sets, including the ability to analyze and interpret historical claims data.
• Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools
• Experience in either SQL, SAS, or R preferred
• Ability to balance multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily
• Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product

New York, NY Salary Range: $76,000 USD - $95,000 USD

Denver, CO Salary Range: $69,600 USD - $87,000 USD

Charlotte, NC Salary Range: $63,200 USD - $79,000 USD
