Job summary

Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking an Excavator Operator for Underground Wet Utilities in Tulsa, OK. You will operate multiple heavy equipment types, perform trenching, loading, and grading tasks, and maintain site safety and productivity under supervision.

This role requires at least four years of heavy equipment experience, willingness to perform laborer work, and ability to work overtime, weekends, or nights as project needs arise. Strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of heavy equipment operating experience with multiple types of equipment.
• Willing to do laborer work.
• Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints.
• Frequent physical activity such as bending, lifting up to 75 lbs, and standing.
• Flexible availability including overtime, weekends, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Operate three or more types of heavy equipment (backhoe, trackhoe, excavator, etc.) to prepare the job site to grade.
• Attach, connect, and adjust hydraulic hoses, belts, and power takeoff as needed.
• Dig trenches and holes to specified dimensions and transport material.
• Maneuver equipment to meet grade stakes and hand signals; follow safety standards.
• Demolish bridges and structures using excavators and hydraulic rams when required.
• Perform general housekeeping and light maintenance of equipment; report usage hours daily.
