Job summary

Dynamic Concepts, Inc. in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Safety Inspector to oversee safety requirements across all projects, focusing on underground utility infrastructure construction for gas and/or electricity.

You will work with project teams to promote safe production and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include conducting routine site inspections, documenting deficiencies, ensuring OSHA compliance, and coordinating actions to drive safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years applied work experience in commercial construction, with five+ years in underground construction safety at the jobsite level.
• Combination of equivalent work experience, training in the field, and OSHA-related safety training/certifications.
• Competent personal training in Fall Protection, Confined Space, Electrical, Trenching/Excavation, PPE.
• Five or more consecutive years of documented safety training.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet).
• Current CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications within past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine inspections of projects, observing, and documenting deficiencies and noteworthy safety practices.
• Maintains regular attendance on the jobsites as per project contracts.
• Tracks deficiencies and leading indicator trends to identify repeated at-risk behavior and conditions; reports deficiencies and leads corrective action with coaching and training.
