Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Valid Hoisting License.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy equipment in construction, preferably underground utility work.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators, loaders) for excavation and installation of underground utilities.
• Follow safety policies and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare and maintain construction sites for underground utility work.
• Assist in installation of underground pipes and conduits; perform manual tasks as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Load, unload and distribute materials at job sites.
• Keep work areas clean; remove debris and hazards.
• Assist with traffic control and signaling as required.
• Respond to utility emergencies promptly and effectively.
• Complete daily reports and equipment logs.
