Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a capable construction laborer to support crews in residential and commercial underground utility projects. You will assist with site readiness, digging, and operating or aiding with common tools under supervision.

Requires physical fitness, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and willingness to work in varying weather conditions. CDL A is a plus; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Experience with underground utilities desired.
• CDL A is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leader in construction/reconstruction and maintenance work
• Assist equipment operators, swamping, hand digging, locating underground obstructions
• Work with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and other necessary tools
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
• Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers and dump truck
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
