Job summary

Miller Pipeline, established in 1953, is a premier underground pipeline construction and repair contractor with offices in 23 states, including Illinois. We hire qualified candidates to assist in repair, maintenance, construction, installation and reconditioning of wet utilities mainline, traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Requires current DOT physical or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in Water Service and Water Main maintenance/installation.
• Uses hand tools; interacts professionally with the public and coworkers.
• Must pass computer-based testing for local operator qualifications.
• Travel within Illinois; some out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities

• Lift tools and equipment of varying weight.
• Compact soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material and patch asphalt.
• Operate vehicles for hauling.
• Assist in demolition, take-up and reconditioning of piping.
• Jackhammer to break asphalt or concrete.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with seed or asphalt.
• Frequent travel within the area for assignments.
