Job summary

Phillips Infrastructure is seeking a Pipe Crew Foreman to lead our underground utility installation teams on water, sewer, and drainage projects. You will manage the pipe crew, ensure safety, deliver quality work, and follow project specifications to meet deadlines.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to read construction plans, coordinate daily activities, mentor crew members, and communicate with project managers and subcontractors across varying weather and job sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipe Crew Foreman in underground utility construction.
• In-depth knowledge of water, sewer, and drainage installation methods.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities to manage a crew.
• Commitment to enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the pipe crew including operators, laborers, and skilled workers.
• Enforce adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and schedule daily work activities to meet deadlines.
• Oversee installation of underground utility systems to meet standards and specs.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and report issues.
• Manage inventory and procurement of materials and supplies for the project.
• Train and mentor crew members to promote skill development.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, safety documentation, and project reports.
• Identify and address operational challenges that arise during installation.
