Job summary

A utility construction firm in Ohio seeks an equipment operator to oversee hydraulic excavation for underground utility projects. Qualifications

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must complete pre-employment drug test and background screen.
• Ability to work 5-7 days a week, 10+ hours a day when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic excavation equipment for utility construction and upgrades.
• Load and unload equipment securely.
• Complete daily inspections of equipment before work.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints

Knowledge of utility depths and placements

General knowledge of construction practices

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education

One year of experience operating a directional bore drill
